St. Vincent Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy

An individualized treatment plan will be developed with you and your family, which will maximize your long-term prognosis.
Diagnosis or conditions that may benefit from our inpatient rehabilitation program include:
- Brain Injury
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Multiple Trauma
- Lower Extremity Amputation
- Orthopedic injuries, hip fractures or post surgical repair
- Neurological diseases such as Multiple sclerosis, Guillian Barre' and Parkinson's disease
Our goal is to help you achieve an optimal level of function and maximum independence upon discharge.
Inpatient Team Approach
St. Vincent uses a team approach for each patient, bringing together physicians, physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapists, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, chaplains and case managers.
Your care team designs a treatment plan to improve the following based on your individual needs:
- Communication skills
- Self-care including bowel and bladder management
- Home management
- Strength and endurance
- Thinking and memory skills
- Balance and safety
- General health
A case manager helps guide the entire program; however the most important members of the team are you and your family members.

As the only CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation program in the Evansville, area, St. Vincent has met extensive standards of care, demonstrated its commitment to quality improvement and placed our focus on the unique rehabilitation services needs for each patient we serve.
