A New name. Familiar faces. Same extraordinary care.
For 145 years, St. Mary’s Health has served the Tri-State area with compassionate, personalized care. This commitment to excellence continues to set us apart as a provider of choice in the region. Now St. Mary’s is taking yet another historic step toward improving lives as we come together as St. Vincent.
One state-wide integrated healthcare ministry.
St. Mary’s and St. Vincent share a rich history rooted in our Mission of service dating back to our founders, St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, and the formation of the Daughters of Charity in 1633. Part of that mission is to seek innovative ways to advance the care we provide. To that end, St. Mary’s and St. Vincent joined together in 2012 to create one statewide, integrated healthcare ministry, a partnership that now reflects not only our shared mission, but a shared name, St. Vincent.
Easier access. More clinical services.
As St. Vincent, we are one of Indiana’s largest health systems. And together, as a part of Ascension – the nation’s largest nonprofit health system and the world’s largest Catholic health system — we provide Evansville area residents greater clinical integration, more access to advanced care and connection to broader clinical services – like transplant and open heart surgeons, a phenomenal heart hospital, the best of class services of Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent and more. Our health system is leading the way for the healthcare of tomorrow.
A legacy that will carry on.
While our name will change, our commitment to Mission, Vision and Values remain the same. Just as we have since 1872, our team of dedicated associates, physicians and volunteers will work together to bring health and healing to our community and all those we serve. That is our legacy. And it will lead us forward.
